The Northern Peninsula Family Resource Centre Inc. is an organization that was formed in May of 1999 as a result of the announcement of the National Child Benefit Provincial Reinvestment Plan.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors that is made up of representatives from Health, Education, Child, Senior and Social Development, Justice and Parents.

Operational Guidelines:
Onsite programming must not include the following at Alert Level 2:
* Exchange Services such as clothing *Community family events, gatherings and celebrations

During onsite programming:
a. Numbers of participants in programming should be reduced by 40 to 50 percent (depending on the availability for space to adhere to the principles of physical distancing or the use of masks). Where masks are not in use, adherence to reasonable physical distancing protocols is advised.
b. Children and adults are to remain in the room where activities are taking place and are not permitted to enter a room which is not a part of their programming.
* Any food offered (e.g., snacks) must be pre-prepared and not shared.
* Food may be served by one individual only to the children.
* Programming staff must:
i. sign in and out of rooms each time they enter or leave;
ii. wear a mask (non-medical acceptable – must be laundered daily) at all times within a program room where physical distancing is not possible due to space or programming content;
iii. wash hands thoroughly with soap and water (or use appropriate hand sanitizer) prior to entering and after leaving a programming room – in addition to required cleaning and sanitizing requirements while in the room as stated below.
c. The principles of physical distancing must be followed, unless persons are from the same household.

3. All persons must thoroughly wash hands with soap and water (or use appropriate hand sanitizer) before entering and upon exiting Family Resource Centre premises.

4. Registers (attendance logs) for all staff and participants during the COVID-19 Pandemic is required. Only those participating in programming or hosting programming are permitted to enter the FRC.

* Participants (including children) are to remain in their vehicle until actively screened for COVID-19 symptoms by phone (or another means e.g., text) and notified by the FRC activity/program host that they may enter the building in order to maintain physical distancing at arrival and departure times (see next section);

* Only permitting one adult family member to enter the FRC foyer for drop off or pick up of materials or to participate in lending services;
* Only permitting one adult (parent or child care provider) to accompany a child/children at a drop-in playgroup; and
* One person may enter an FRC to participate in lending/exchange services at a time.

5. Everyone entering an FRC (e.g., caregivers, children, parents, volunteers, staff, delivery person) must be proactively screened for COVID-19 symptoms, travel history and contact with person(s) who may have COVID-19; prior to EACH time they enter the FRC.
